Psi Chi Requirements

If you believe you are eligible for Psi Chi, bring your degree audit to the Department Chair's office.

To be eligible as an undergraduate you need to have:

• 9 hours of Psychology credits completed

• 36 total hours completed

• 3.0 Psychology GPA

• Cumulative GPA in the top 35% of your class (this changes every semester; check with the Department Chair to see if you have met this requirement)

  • Fall 2009 GPA Requirements

    • Senior: 3.327

    • Junior: 3.290

    • Sophomore: 3.257

• Declared Psychology as your major or minor

• If you are a transfer student you must have 1 semester (12 hours) completed at Southeast

If you are a graduate student or faculty member, these requirements apply to you:

• Graduate students: B's in all courses

• Faculty: earned Ph.D.

If you were invited to join Psi Chi last semester but did not do so, you are still eligible to join this semester.

Cost is a $65 one-time fee for lifetime membership.
