Find seven articles or chapters in books at least seven pages in length dealing with these works. Graduate students will need eight articles or chapters.

You may use articles found on the web only if they originally appeared in print.

Prepare an annotated bibliography for each of the seven. That is, summarize and critique each. Each summary must be between one and three double spaced pages and must be prefaced by a complete bibliographical entry. Follow the form on the Notes and Bibliography Style Sheet linked on the course’s main web page.

If you use something found on the web, your bibliographical entry should first give the information of the original “hard copy” publication and then be followed with “Found at (the “resource”—Academic Search Premiere, Ebsco Host, Wilson Omnifile, or JSTOR, for example).

You must have at least one article or chapter on each of the four novels and cannot have more than three on any one. Group your annotations according to the novel and begin a new page with each new annotation.

NOTE—If you wrote on The Bluest Eye on your first paper, do NOT write on it here. Instead select one of the earlier novels that you did not write on.
