I’m not big on doling out advice, but one thing that I see way too often is that people are still living lives of quiet desperation. Face it, no one will ever be remembered as a great drinker or one hell of a television viewer. Why not give yourself a legitimate reason to idolize what's staring back at you in the mirror? Write a novel, build a house, learn a new language. Leave this place a little better than the way you found it.

Did you know that when you buy gum, you cast a vote? During periods between elections, many believe that nothing (barring direct involvement within politics) can affect how their lives are being governed. However, many corporations lobby & donate to political campaigns. As such, when you purchase an item, you are giving funds to a business, which in turn, permits it to support (& more importantly, influence, i.e. "favor for favor") its chosen officials, parties, & causes. How do you know who & what you are indirectly backing? Check out The Blue Pages, a directory of companies rated by their politics & practices.
