On Tuesday, November 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Cape County Archive Center in Jackson, Missouri, Dr. Stepenoff will present a program entitled "Local Characters: Writing the History of Ordinary People."

On Wednesday, Dec. 9, at 6:30 p.m., at the Cape River Heritage Museum, 538 Independence (corner of Independence and Frederick), Dr. Stepenoff's graduate class in public history will present a roundtable discussion on the topic of "Who Owns the Past?" The program will last until 8 p.m. and will include open discussion of preservation issues. Refreshments will be served.  The event is free and open to the public. Dr. Stepenoff's undergraduate students may receive extra credit for attending.
